It's been a year and a half since the assisted dying legislation was passed in Victoria with the laws coming into effect on June 19th of this year. 

The new law means that anyone with a terminal illness qualifies for a lethal cocktail of drugs from their doctor which will assist them in ending their own lives. 

Bronte and Sam managed to get in touch with the lovely Margaret Radmore, a nurse of 40 years who has recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer and given 12 months to live. Margaret has opted to end her own life via assisted dying and will be one of the first to do so. 

Margaret shares with the team why she's decided to use voluntary assisted dying and why having the choice to take her own life is such a huge relief.
