Gotta be a stitch up, right?

A Melbourne pop-up selling $5 spoonfuls of Nutella has upset the general internet– but there’s little proof it actually exists.

The Daily Mail posted an outraged story yesterday slamming “A Spoonful Of Sugar” a Melbuorne pop-up selling ridiculous spoons of bite sized treats for $5.

The flavours include “Naughty Nutella” “Playful PBA” “Sinful Salter Caramel” and “Blissful Banoffee” – all are tiny teaspoon sized sweet treats.

The only evidence of the pop-up seems to be an Instagram page, with just 7 followers. “Bite-sized treats to help the medicine go down” the blurb reads. “Secret popup now open – come and find us…” The website doesn’t exist.

Trolls? A giant stitch up? An actual business? Or have we finally reached this “Peak Melbourne” people keep going on about?

Who knows – I’m heading to Coles to buy a jar of Nutella and grabbing a spoon.
