A man who was filmed towing his boat down the Pacific Highway with a mobility scooter has been charged by police.
Shane Swancott was allegedly using the scooter to get around after losing his driver's licence on a separate matter, according to Nine News.
A member of the public filmed the 35-year-old towing his 17-foot boat by mobility scooter in Belmont, near Newcastle, on October 19 this year.
The video shows Mr Swancott driving past a NSW Highway Patrol vehicle, after which he is pulled over.
Mr Swancott has been charged for driving whilst disqualified, use unregistered vehicle on road, use uninsured vehicle on road and use unregistered trail on road.
He was served a Future Court Attendance Notice and is due to appear in Belmont Local Court on January 9.
