A gold banana stikeez, the toy vegetables you get from Coles, has sold on eBay for $20,001. 

Golden Billy the Banana has been snapped up for the bargain price after being the centre of a bidding war. 

Coles say only 100 of the little goldies were made and people have gone crazy, literally for them. 

While there's still some floating around the web, these a little more affordable at a cool $4,500.

But of course, everyone on Facebook and over social media have called it "stupid, ridiculous, and insane."

One user posting they just went to the craft shop and got some gold spray paint and sprayed their Billy Banana.
