FRIDAY 15 JUNE is FREE FELINE FRIDAY at the Campaspe Animal Shelter – adoption fees have been waived from 10am – 4pm. Normal adoption process and council registration fees apply.

If you’ve been thinking of adopting a feline companion, now is a great time!
The air is filled with meows and desperate pleas from all of our furry felines for a family of their own.

The Campaspe Animal Shelter is so full that they are struggling to find room for them all, and the team are hoping the community can help.

Campaspe Animal Shelter have cats and kittens of all ages, sizes and personalities looking for their very own fur-ever home.

All cats and kittens at the shelter are desexed, microchipped and vaccinated, and have been assessed as having good temperaments that make them suitable for re-homing. The shelter has a variety males and females cat breeds available to adopt.

“Cats can become pregnant by four months of age, so early age desexing between 2-3 months is recommended to help manage the volume of abandoned and surrendered felines to the shelter.”

- Ms Lemon said.

The Campaspe Animal Shelter is open seven days a week at varying times.
