Heartbreaking news this morning as we learn that 90210 actor, Luke Perry has passed away.

The sad news comes less than a week after the actor suffered a massive stroke. 

He was only 52-years-old. 

Luke's publicist, Arnold Robinsonstated that Luke's children, Jack and Sophie, fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, and his siblings, Tom Perry and Amy Coder, were all with him when he passed.

"The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning," Mr Robinson said.

The actor was taken to hospital on Wednesday in Los Angeles, where he had been shooting scenes for Riverdale

The family has not provided any other details at this time.

Luke won the hearts of the world when he rose to fame playing the character, Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills 90210.

The show ran from 1990 to 2000.

Luke then went on to star in a number of films including The Fifth Element, 8 Seconds and American Strays.

His latest role was Fred Andrews on the series Riverdale.
