This morning on the show, Tim & Jess chatted with superstar footy player and Year 12 Rockhampton Grammar School student, Aaron Moore, who has just signed with the North Queensland Cowboys for next season!
"It was unreal. Growing up, it's all you dream of: getting an NRL contract, so I couldn't ask for anything better, really.
Aaron will work his way through the system when he relocates to Townsville in a bid to one day play in the NRL. RGS is a development partner with the North Queensland Cowboys to help further develop the sport in the Rockhampton region.
Aaron captained the RGS 1st XIII team to back-to-back Rockhampton Secondary Schools Rugby League Open A premierships this year. He also played in the Confraternity Shield, winning the title last year with the RGS team as a Year 11 student.
Aaron has also captained the Australian U18 men’s touch team, which won the Youth World Cup in Malaysia. He also led the RGS Open Boys touch team which remained undefeated before All Schools was washed out in Brisbane over the weekend. Aaron is also preparing to represent QLD in State of Origin touch next month.
