If there's one reality TV show that Australia will drop everything to watch, it's The Block!

It's a show where the drama is realistic, sometimes also extremely heated, but at the end of the day, it's about building a wonderful home for Aussies to live in!

This season, Scotty Cam will be celebrating his twelfth year as its host and the teams will also be tackling the infamous Gatwick building in St Kilda, Victoria.

The building was a popular place to have a nice dinner and some drinks with friends in the 1930's, but later turned into a halfway house that the locals chose to steer clear of.

The building has had a number of crimes committed inside its walls, including a number of murders, but now, The Block will be transforming it into a series of open-plan apartments that the community can be proud of.

Now, apparently, this season will apparently be the first time that contestants on The Block can take a look at the floor plan of the building and start to plan out what they're going to do to it.

Whilst speaking to the Hit Network's Stav, Abby and Matt this morning, however, Scotty explained that although the teams CAN go ahead and plan out what they're going to do to their apartment, there's really no point.

He said that there's a variety of reasons why planning out an entire apartment ahead of filming, just to save time, is a bad idea for contestants:

Would you still plan ahead anyway?

The Block is back on our screens from 7pm Sunday and honestly we can't wait to see what the teams will do with The Gatwick!
