Boambee Beach Green Sea Turtles

Boambee Beach is home to 4 wheel drives, dogs, and now a rare turtle nest. Green Sea Turtles are an endangered species and National Parks and Wildlife Service is urging people to stay away, particularly dog walkers and 4Wd users. Green Sea Turtles can live up to 80 years and depending on the climate, the eggs can hatch up to anywhere between 50-80 days.

Dr Duan March from Dolphin Marine Magic gave Joel and Tulles a great insight into the rare species and addressed the area where the eggs have been fenced off. There have been calls for the whole beach to be closed while the eggs hatch, find out what Dr Duan thinks should happen over the next couple of months below.
