Former West Coast Eagles Championship player Daniel Kerr joined Heidi, Will, Woody and Xavier Ellis to talk about being sober for Ocsober.
Daniel opened up about some of the reasons he's really excited to be taking part in Ocsober this year, which means he'll be taking a break from booze.
"They raise money for life education, which goes into schools and educates kids around healthy choices," Daniel explained. "I run a foundation called Together We Can working out of the Great Victorian Desert. We do similar stuff, but we do it through teaching the kids sport, art, music and dance."
He also admitted he was a bit surprised to get the call to be part of Obsober.
"When they called me to ask I did have a chuckle because my favourite things to do are spend time with my kids and the second is to have a beer with my mates," he revealed. "So it's going to be a tough Ocsober... you can buy a day off for $25."
Although everyone had a laugh about the idea of taking a day off, Daniel said that he really does want to complete the entire month without a single drink. He also spoke about the binge drinking issues in Australia today, and how drinking can lead people to do things they wouldn't normally do.
"Put it this way, I've never been in the lock up sober. And I've been in the lock up a couple of times," he said. "I decided probably two years ago to change my life."
