Lake Talbot is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.

We all remember going down The Rampage, enjoying a snag from the BBQ's and enjoying time with friends and family.

Recently there's been discussion that the outdoor pool would be going and replaced with an indoor facility.

This is not the case.

Claire and Dane caught up with Julian Geddes the Deputy General Manager of Infrastructure from the Narrandera Shire Council to talk about the plans.

Yes, The Rampage may be leaving us but the proposed draft master plan has some exciting additions.

  • Replacing existing aged kiosk and change room facility wit a new purpose built 20 metre indoor heated program pool facility suitable for hydrotherapy, learn to swim, swimming and water exercises all year round.  This will include modern change rooms, toilet, cafe, function room and elevated outdoor sitting area.
  • Replacing island pool with the construction of a new shaded family leisure pool that includes zero entry and toddler section, turbo pool and water play equipment.
  • Inclusion of shaded interactive water play (splash zone)
  • Convert rampage pool into a large seated landscape area which would include the construction of a new action flume water slide.

This is just the tip of the iceberg with other developments on the cards including a grandstand for the 50 metre pool and an upgrade of the open slide.
