Koala Hospital Gets A Portable Ultrasound Unit

The Koala Hospital in Port Macquarie is now equipped with a Portable Ultrasound Unit meaning they can take the laptop-sized device into the field and conduct a health assessment much more efficiently.

Cheyne the Clinical Director at the Koala Hospital, spoke to Cass and Bodge on the show explaining the benefits the unit will provide to the local Koala population.

The new device will be put to use straight away as a population of Koala's has been found near the train line in Warchope.

Cheyne asked anyone driving in this area to be cautious and report any sightings to the Koala hospital as they are open 24/7.
