NASA's InSight Probe Lands On Mars

Houston We Don't Have A Problem

At Around 7AM (AEST) NASA's latest mission, the Mars InSight touched down on the red planet.

The lander will be looking at what is going on beneath the surface of the planet by the planet's vital signs, temperature and pressure tracking.

Cass and Bodge spoke to Astronomer, Lesa Moore from the Astronomical Society of New South Wales just before the spacecraft landed.

Why Mars? It is the perfect laboratory to study the evolution of rocky planets and scientists know that Mars has low levels of geological activity.

But we want to know exactly how active it is.

All systems are go.
