We all have (or have had) breakouts, some on our face, some on our backs... but a lot of women are experience an increase of acne on their... butts.
Spots on the bum can be embarrassing but it turns out it's more common than not. Pimples on the rear are caused by irritation from wearing tight clothing and not showering properly after working out.
According to an article in the Daily Mail, "dermatologist at Wexler Dermatology in New York City said the pimples were caused by irritated hair follicles.
He said: 'It's not like acne on the face. It's inflammation of fine hair on the butt and sometimes it can even be an infection.
'People can seem totally hairless there but it's just really fine hair, almost invisible.
'This tends to affect young people, mostly I'm seeing women in their 20s.'
Dr Howe, who works in Manhattan's affluent Upper East Side, believes the increase in buttne stems from the popularity of spin classes and athletic wear.
He added: 'They are wearing tighter clothes and are more active, which irritates the follicles.'
Buttne doesn't just plague women, Dr Howe said, it's very common in men but they don't care too much about it." You can read more here.
