Joining in at the Heartkids charity cricket fundraiser this weekend, Angus O’Loughlin showed off his bowling skills in the 40-degree heat… and it didn’t go down that great.
Folks gathered at The Scotch Footy Club yesterday to raise money for the charity after they had helped one of the members when his niece was suffering a heart condition.
Angus’ mate Scotch Henry’s baby niece, Lucy, had a heart condition which required treatment they could only obtain in Melbourne.
“They had to pack up their whole family and lives and move to Melbourne to get treatment for their brand new baby daughter,” Angus explained on air this morning.
Heartkids helped the family out and paid for their accommodation, so now, the footy club decided to give back, with the charity cricket game.
The day saw jumping castles and face painting, but the real drawcard was the inclusion of Hamish Hartlett and Tom Jonas!
Unfortunately for Angus though, he had actually never played cricket before and had to have a little help. Take a listen:
