The reboot of US favourite sitcom Roseanne has been cancelled over comedian Roseanne Barr's racist tweets.
ABC Entertainment's recently appointed president Channing Dungey released a statement slamming her comments.
“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” she said.
It comes despite the reboot of the show being the highest rated show of the season.
Barr quit social media shortly after her twitter rant, where she falsely accused billionaire George Soros' as being a Nazi sympathiser and made a racist joke about former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett.
Sara Gilbert, who played the role of Roseanne's daugther, Darlene, said he was extremely disappointed by her TV mother's comments.
Gilbert was also an executive producer for the reboot.
