Scott Donaldson making progress on epic trek!

Despite strong winds pushing him north

Scott Donaldson is said to be making excellent progress on his journey to become the first person to kayak across the Tasman Sea solo.

He now situs at around 220kms east of Lord Howe Island, and 900kms from Coffs Harbour where he left from on May 2.

It comes despite facing some rough conditions while he sleeps, with winds pushing him 15-20kms north each night.

Donaldson is hoping to make landfall on the Taranaki Coast, which means he will paddle 3000 kilometres in total.

He also hopes to raise awareness about Asthma, a condition which he suffers from.
