Australian actor and director Josh Lawson has been nominated for an Oscar in the ‘Live Action Short Film’ category for his feature ‘The 11 O’Clock’.
Josh who wrote, directed and starred in the short film, which is about a delusional patient of a psychiatrist who believes he is actually the psychiatrist and the fall out that occurs when they try and treat each other.
Speaking to Em, Grant & Ed this morning, Josh said that he had no idea he was nominated for an Oscar, with everyone finding out about their nominations as they are announced.
He did reveal, however, that you do receive a ‘shortlist’ in December which lists the potential nominees in each category.. then it is just a ‘wait’ to find out if you are lucky!
Josh isn’t the only Aussie to be nominated, with Margot Robbie being nominated for her performance in ‘I, Tonya’ as Best Actress
The Oscars will take place on March 4 in Los Angeles and will be hosted by late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.
