Earlier this year, it was revealed that Jessica Biel, the amazing actress who also happens to be married to Justin Timberlake, would not be appearing in the second season of the successful Netflix thriller series The Sinner.
The only main character who will be returning to the series will be Detective Ambrose, who has been called back to his hometown to investigate the murder of two parents at the hands of their young son.
Today, Vulture has announced that the second series will also have a new main character who is key to the investigation.
Carrie Coon will star in The Sinner as a "a formidable, mysterious woman" named Vera, who also is the leader of a commune and is committed to creating a utopia in her community.
To everyone else, however, her community is viewed as a cult.
Carrie has had a pretty big career in Hollywood already, starring in the third season of Fargo and HBO's The Leftovers.
The new series will be premiering sometime this winter, according to Jessica's instagram.
