The First Trailer For The 'Picnic At Hanging Rock' Mini-Series Is Just As Haunting As The Original Showtime

When we first heard that the classic Aussie film Picnic At Hanging Rock was being rebooted as a TV mini-series, we weren't so sure that it could live up to the hype.

However, today, we've had a change of heart.

Amazon Prime has released the first trailer for the new series online and guys, it's just as haunting as you remember!

Natalie Dormer, of Games Of Thrones fame, stars as the headmistress of an Australian boarding school in the 1900s and man, she's good at it!

In the trailer, we see her tasked to find three pupils who went missing during a school outing and are, as the trailer suggests, "presumed dead".

Natalie is joined by a predominantly Aussie cast with Samara WeavingYael Stone, and Madeleine Madden at the forefront of the story.

We'll be able to watch the series when it premieres on Foxtel's Showcase channel on May 11, so prepare yourselves for a crazy ride!
