One of Australia’s most loved media personalities, Rove McManus, is returning to our screens to host a new entertainment show based around movies.
Australia is certainly due for a new entertainment program, or panel or SOMETHING!
While we still don't have a late-night talk show like the once great Rove Live, the man himself is returning to Network Ten to give us something new.
Show Me The Movie! will see two competing teams captained by Offspring actress Jane Harber and comedian Joel Creasey as they are joined by “a stellar cast of different actors, comedians and visiting international stars, who will do battle in a series of funny, irreverent and always entertaining rounds.
“From big-budget Hollywood blockbusters to sci-fi, animation and chick flicks, Show Me The Movie! will celebrate the good, the bad and the ugly of the big screen. The stars, A-list gossip, iconic movie dialogue and classic cinematic moments all get a comedy make-over.”
The show has been created by Ben Davis (Bondi Rescue, Here Come The Habibs) and Paul Clarke (Spicks and Specks, Blood and Thunder, Eurovision).
“Spicks and Specks is the most successful comedy panel show in Australian history, so there’s no better person than Paul to be making Show Me The Movie! with," says Davies.
There’s no word yet on when the show will premier, but filming is set to commence very soon!
