Son of the Today Show's Richard Wilkins, Christian, has been 'dumpster diving' and roughing it on the streets for the past 10 days to raise awareness of homelessness in Australia.
Wealthy model and socialite, Christian Wilkins, admits that he was "ignorant" about homelessness until he took part in a new SBS documentary, Filthy Rich and Homeless.
The doco, which had the 22-year-old stripped of his 'phone, belongings, wallet, and family' and sleeping on the streets for 10 days, was said to be the hardest thing he's ever done.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Christian said, "I was even eating carrots that hadn't been washed."
Taking to Instagram, he posted a raw and powerful message about his experience, and urged his followers to "start a larger discussion about how we can help them."
Be sure to catch Filthy Rich and Homeless on SBS, 27, 28 & 29th of June at 8.30pm.
