It's been nearly 20 years since Seinfeld, the show about nothing, came to a close and aired its last episode in May, 1998.
Despite its lofty standing in television history, Jerry Seinfeld, the star and creator of the show, has resisted the urge to bring the show back because, as he said in 2017, "maybe it’s nice that you continue to love it instead of us tampering with something that went pretty well.”
But it seems like he's had a change of heart.
Seinfeld popped in to see Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show this morning and, after some prodding, conceded the show could be in line for a return, following the many other popular TV series that have been rebooted over the last few years.
He said, "it's possible..." before the audience erupted in a massive cheer and applause because, like us, they absolutely LOVED Seinfeld when it graced our TV screens and, obviously, still do now.
Nothing else was said about it but hey, we can either sit patiently and wait for it to suddenly appear, or, we can just rewatch every season of the original.
We're opting for the latter!
