It's a constant issue for pet owners the world over, you want to go travelling, but you can't find someone to look after your pooch!
Well, if you want to stay in one of Sydney's prettiest suburbs and take your dog with you, pop into The Hughenden because this place is A-MAY-ZANG!
Now, I don't have a dog myself, but I did stay at The Hughenden this week because not only is it a well-priced stay, it also super chic and super cosy.
The hotel is located at the crossroads of Paddington and Woollahra in Sydney and is surrounded by the largest expanse of Victorian architecture in Australia.
The boutique hotel itself is actually a Victorian house that's associated with Australia' first philosopher, Barzillai Quaife!
The Hughenden still has many of the buildings gran features, including black marble fireplaces, servants bells, chandeliers and Dr Quaife's initials etched in the glass above the entrance.
When you walk into this magical building, it's like stepping back in time to the most regal part of Australia's history!
Booking a room at The Hughenden is very simple and whether you're just staying overnight, or for a few weeks, you'll find a room that still feels good enough for Royalty!
I only stayed a night and was placed in a quaint little room on a terrace that overlooked part of the hotel's café and Dr Quaife's black water fountain.
The bathroom had all of the vintage fosets and beautiful tiles that transported you back to the 1900's almost instantly!
The best part about this place, besides the affordability and the vintage aesthetic, is that your furry friends can come and stay with you!
Whilst having breakfast in The Hughenden's perfectly Parisian-inspired restaurant, another guest emerged with a beautiful corgi.
Every pup that stays at The Hughenden gets the same wonderful service that their owners do and that's a rare thing to find these days, isn't it?!
If you do decide to have a drink at the bar, a coffee in the café or dinner at The Hughenden's restaurant, you won't be disappointed.
14 Queen's prices are very reasonable and even if you're not staying there, you can pop in at any time!
If you're like me and love a bit of European architecture that makes you feel like you're far away every once in a while, this is the perfect place to go!
I left The Hughenden wanting to live there and if you decide to stay there next time you're in Sydney, I bet you will too!
So pack the dog toys and get your weekend away booked!
