Owning property in Australia’s capital cities can be expensive. Now it’s time to set your sights on Europe!
Italy is giving away over 100 historic buildings for free, including castles, houses and towers. It’s all part of an initiative to boost tourism to the area, and bring tourists away from the overcrowded city centres.
103 properties are up for grabs – there is a slight catch though (we expected it, right?).
Entrepreneurs who take up the offer will be responsible for restoring the sites into tourist facilities. Think hotels, AirBnBs, restaurants, spas, etc.
If this seems worth it to you, all you have to do is submit a proposal to the State Property Agency by June 26.
Details are here for you to read up on, although it’s all in Italian.
