It's no groundbreaking news to anyone that iPhones are fairly smart contraptions. Often, we're learning new details of their technology, whether it be something as minute as the torch app's icon changing as we turn it on and off, or something bigger, like its ability to create image folders on its own depending on the photo's contents.
Today's finding, is the latter. Did you know, that each time you snap an picture, your iPhone is actually sneakily categorising them into folders for your keeping?
I.e: a cheerful snap of your pooch will be compiled into a 'dog' folder, a not-so-cheerful snap of you cat will be compiled into a 'cat' folder, and dare we say it, n00dz will be compiled with all other n00dz!
So, how do you access these hidden folders? It's easy!
Step 1: Open your iPhone's 'Photos' app.
Step 2: Click on the magnifying glass in the top righthand corner and type in any key words!
As an example, I have chosen two of the most important things in the world to me: wine, and my dog.
Please note: expect errors because I most definitely have more than 37 images of my dog on my phone.
Step 3: Click on your chosen folder and voila!
Step 4: Have some fun with it!
If you're anything like me, you'll have thousands of photos just sitting in your camera roll, gathering virtual dust. Type in key words such as, 'beach', 'party', 'bar', take a trip down memory lane and see what you can find!
