The Next iPhone Update Will Block Your Texts While You’re Driving

Apple is about to introduce a new iPhone update that will block every text message to your phone while you’re driving.

The feature will be called Do Not Disturb While Driving and will be part of Apple's iOS 11 update.

As soon as your phone is connected to your car via Bluetooth or a cable, the phone will block any type of notifications to your phone, this includes texts, news and any social media notifications… but only if the feature is turned on.

If someone does text you while you’re driving and you have the feature on, you can also set up an automatic message that will reply to tell them that you're driving and can't respond.

Thankfully, you will still be able to see Apple Maps and Apple's navigation apps… but once you start driving you, you will not be able to enter a new destination.

It’s believed that other apps, like Google Maps will also work, just not as fast.

iOS11 will be available later this year.

It's about time that this happened.
