iPhone users had expected the brand new iPhone 8 to be released later this year, but it seems there could be a delay.
Reports suggest that the release date of the new iPhone could be pushed back to 2018.
This is allegedly due to low sales in the current iPhones, due to hype and popularity surrounding the iPhone 8. That’s right – people aren’t buying the current iPhones because they’re waiting for the new one to be released.
Apple have released the results for their sales for the first quarter, and unfortunately for the tech giant they were surprisingly low.
The company sold 50.76 million iPhones – which is less than last year’s 51.19 million. It doesn’t seem like much, especially when we’re talking millions – but this drop led to Apple’s share price falling by 1 per cent in after-hours trading.
So don’t hold your breath for the iPhone 8 – you might need to wait a while.
