A new Harry Potter mobile game is on the way and it’s safe to say that your ‘to-do’ list will never be finished because this is what we’re all going to be playing in 2018.
The trailer for a new Potter game, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, was released today promising to provide you with what you’ve always wanted: your acceptance letter to Hogwarts!
The game will involve users attending the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, taking part in classes, learning spells and battling your mates… and enemies!
Take a look:
The inclusion of one of Dumbledore’s many famous lines: “It is not our abilities that show what we truly are; it is our choices,” suggests the game will contain all sorts of paths and story-based arcs!
“The mobile game – part of the new label Portkey Games, from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment – will invite you to join Hogwarts in the 1980s, and will feature many of your favourite things from the Harry Potter stories.”
Wizards in shoulder pads and teased hair? Yes, please!
“Although at this point Harry wouldn’t have been old enough to be at the school himself, we think you may recognise a few former students and staff – from Nymphadora Tonks to Bill Weasley to Professor McGonagall.
“The role-playing experience will invite you to create your own personalised student avatar, and make key decisions that will impact your story."
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is set to be released via the App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore in 2018.
NOTE: This is not that Pokémon Go! style VR app which we are also patiently waiting for.
