Scrunchies were THE hair accessory in the '80s and over the last few years, the puffy hair ties have been filtering back into the fashion world at a glacial pace.

These accessories have been recreated by many high-fashion and boutique brands, but apparently, they're not called scrunchies anymore...

The fashion elite are now calling their high-end scrunchies 'hair clouds' according to Women's Wear Daily, a term coined by Danish designer Line Sander Johansen.

Line says that 'hair cloud' sounds more chic, and suited her brand of silk hair scarves and scrunchies, which she describes as accessories that are like "silk clouds around the hair".

Now, we don't want to sound too old school, but the word scrunchie just sounds so fun!
