The internet has developed a bit of an obsession with removing blackheads.
There seems to be a new method of cleaning your pores going viral every week and another has emerged today that experts actually approve of.
There is now a blackhead tweezer that you can buy that will easily remove blackheads without damaging your skin.
These tweezers are specifically made to help penetrate the skin and remove excess sebum that is lurking beneath the surface.
Instead of having blunt ends like regular tweezers, these guys have sharp, curved ends that make it easier to pull out the debris and leave you with clean skin.
If you're a bit confused about how that's supposed to work then, luckily for you, someone has posted a video, but be warned, this video probably shouldn't be watched whilst eating.
It's satisfying, but also a bit gross.
Dermatologists Neal Shultz and Sandra Lee, better known as Dr Pimple Popper, spoke to Racked about the video and they thought this was actually a pretty good method of removing excess grime.
Dr. Pimple Popper even bought a pair of the tweezers herself!
Although these guys are all for this new method, esthetician Renee Rouleau had second thoughts.
"In theory, those are blackheads because you can see the black tip, but that's just the opening of the pore where it has oxidised.
"You’ll notice that there's kind of a whitish circle around it, meaning these are closed comedones."
The comedones are apparently easier to remove than actual blackheads and believes that those might, in fact, be comedones in the video and not blackheads!
What do you think?
Would you give the tweezers a go?
