Forbes has today revealed the highest earning women in music over the past year and, ladies and gentleman, we have a new winner!
Her Majesty, Queen Beyoncé herself has returned to claim her crown, taking out the top spot on the list with a mighty $US105 million ($140 million)!
The sum comes from a contribution of record sales off the back of 2016’s Lemonade, her Formation music tour, Bey’s Ivy Park fashion line and other business deals.
Coming in second place is Adele whose massive world tour practically shut down the streets of major cities across Australia! Off the back of her Grammy winning album 25, Adele is estimated to have mad a sweet $US69 million ($91 million).
Taylor Swift may have fallen from the top spot, but in third place the Nashville native made a ripping $US44 million ($58 million) off her 1989 album sale from 2014! Her latest album, Reputation, was released after the cut-off date of Forbes’ scoring period, but is already the best selling album of 2017… so we’re thinking Tay Tay will be back for the throne next year.
