During the Twilight phase that overtook the globe a few years ago, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were THE ‘It’ couple of Hollywood, films and fiction.
Their on screen romance drifted off screen, and when their real life romance came to an end, no one could handle it.
Especially with the K-Stew cheating scandal that everyone rigged their teeth into.
During that time, Donald Trump even tweeted about their relationship, saying, “Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again - just watch. He can do much better!”
His words were harsh, and Kristen even responded to the incident and joked about his tweets in a Saturday Night Live monologue… but was disappointed when Trump never responded to it.
Now, Robert Pattinson has responded to questions about the infamous tweet, and fans have been left a little bummed out by his answers.
During his recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Robert was asked about the tweets and replied, "I think there’s so many different levels of it. Your identity exists on many different planes at the same time and they all can be quite different from each other.”
“When [Trump] said that, it didn’t really mean anything.
“But I guess now I’m sort of thinking, like, ‘Well, I guess that is related to me.’ But how does that fit in with all the other things going on in my life?
"And sometimes you think, ‘Can I use this in my acting? Or should I be putting it away.’ It’s kind of interesting, I guess.
"I don’t know — this could be why people get annoyed with me.”
Hmm… could this be true?
Could Robert’s ways of looking at controversial situations from a more objective standpoint spur fan backlash?
Should anyone be getting annoyed with his obvious desire to NOT get involved in bulls@#$?
Or should we be taking a leaf out of his book, taking a step back, and not getting swept up in the heat of things?
We’ll let everyone sleep on it.
