Just over a year ago, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris.
The event is still discussed during interviews with the star and she seems to have learned from it, opening up about the experience and how it has shaped her life.
In a new interview with Allure magazine, Kim discussed the horrific incident again, this time highlighting a precious moment that she shared with her four-year-old daughter North West.
According to Kim, she was extremely anxious about going to Paris in the first place because she was worried about the terror threat at the time.
After seeing how worried her mother was, North tried her best to comfort her.
"She gave me a little plastic treasure box, and she put her little jewels in it — like fake little plastic jewels — and she was like, ‘Mommy, this will keep you safe when you go to Paris.’
"To have something really sweet like that is more important to me than all the jewelry."
Kim said she now carries the small jewelry box with her everywhere she goes.
The star explained that since the robbery, she has focused on her health and tried to make her family more "grounded".
"We don’t do gifts.
“[Kanye and I] talk about it all the time, about not getting too much and trying to be as grounded and well-rounded as possible."
