Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus has taken to Twitter to announce she has sadly been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The Seinfeld star posted this message to twitter, along with the caption “Just when you thought…”
“1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I'm the one.
“The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family, and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union.
“The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let's fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.”
Yep, even through all this, Julia is still thinking of others!
Since her announcement, a multitude of messages of support from fans and fellow stars have poured in.
Just under two weeks ago, Julia won a record-setting Emmy award for her role in Veep. The 56-year-old was the first actor to accept six consecutive wins for her role as ex-president Selina Meyer.
We send all our love and strength to Julia as she embarks on this battle.
