New reports that have emerged state that Jimmy Kimmel's son's second surgery has been a "success".
According to a statement from the ABC, Jimmy Kimmel's seven-month-old son, Billy, had a "scheduled and successful" heart surgery.
Billy's surgery took place on December 4 after initially being postponed from October due to a cold.
After welcoming their son back in April this year, Jimmy and his wife, Molly McNearney, were confronted with the devastating news that their boy was born with tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia, which was preventing his lungs from getting enough oxygen; he had to undergo emergency open heart surgery just days after being born.
While Billy recovers from his second surgery, Jimmy is taking time off from his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, whilst other celebrities fill in and host on his behalf.
We're so thrilled Billy is on the road to recovery.
