Before his tragic death, Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington filmed an episode for the upcoming Carpool Karaoke standalone 16-episode series.

Joined by his Linkin Park bandmates and actor Ken Jeong, the episode was filmed less than one week before his death.

“Fun day with @kenjeong @CarpoolKaraoke @AppleMusic - stay tuned,” the band tweeted.

Now, host James Corden has revealed that the episode’s released will be left in the hands of Bennington’s family.

“[We will] approach it in whichever manner his family, or the people [who] were involved in that episode, would like it to be handled,” he told the Apple Music show.

"We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want because I don't think there's any other way we could deal with it… It's a tragedy."

Chester’s wife, Talinda Bennington, has since responded with a “Thank you” to James, however, a decision of whether it will be released or not has yet to be revealed.
