Singer and former member of The Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, has now apologised for her rendition of 'The Star Spangled Banner' that she performed at an NBA All-Stars game.
The singer's performance of the U.S National Anthem went viral after she transformed the song into a jazz number and made more than a few spectators a bit uncomfortable.
Whilst speaking to TMZ, she apologised for the changes, saying that she is a "risk taker" and just wanted to do something different.
"I’ve always been honoured and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA.
"I’m a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best."
Now, we do understand how some people didn't like her version of the song, but let's not be too hasty.
Her performance may have been different, but it birthed a wonderful remix that is now circulating on Youtube and guys, it's awesome!
So let's not be too hard on her, everyone, because she has created something pretty cool right here!
