Poor Erin Molan has found herself being dragged into a very messy Sydney domestic violence court case between champion yachtsman Anthony Bell and his former wife, Kelly Landry.
Erin has been accused by Kelly, a former model and TV presenter for having an affair with her husband.
Erin and Anthony were crewmates in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race in 2016 and naturally, became friends.
According to the claims, the two often “caught up” and “exchanged selfies” by text message.
Last night, the Nine Network presenter took the time on The Footy Show to address the situation.
An emotional Erin has put a stop to the allegations saying there is "not one iota of truth" to any of the speculation regarding the Sydney domestic violence court case.
Erin, fighting back tears, told viewers, "I'm really sorry that we have to use this platform to say a few things but we probably don't really have a choice, and I'm going to try and get through this without being emotional.
“It’s obviously been a really tough week for myself, my fiancé and my family. We are pretty devastated to be dragged into what is a very sad situation, particularly given the insinuation of an inappropriate relationship.”
Adding, “I can assure you there is not one iota of truth to any of the speculation. It is not who I am and it doesn't reflect the values I possess, and it is not how I was raised.
"I just want to thank everyone who has sent me messages of support and who has supported me, both publicly and privately. It has meant the absolute world to me and to Sean and it has really helped in what has been a very difficult week.
"I don't mean to be self indulgent because there are people out there fighting very very tough battles that are far more serious than mine. Thank you for your support, that's all I've got to say."
We think Erin is so brave for speaking up even when she is going through what she is.
Hopefully everything cvalms down soon.
