It's official - Australia will get the chance to compete in Eurovision for the fourth year in a row!
SBS confirmed today that Australia will compete in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Portugal's capital Lisbon.
Australia first entered Eurovision in 2015, with Guy Sebastian coming in fifth. Dami Im stormed home to a second place finish in 2016, while Isaiah Firebrace continued our streak of top 10 results by coming ninth in 2017.
SBS Managing Director Michael Ebeid said that SBS is "Proud to secure Australia’s return as competitors in the Eurovision Song Contest for the fourth year, as the country’s unique affection and passion for Eurovision continues to grow.”
Eurovision will take place in May 2018 and will be broadcast on SBS.
