Yesterday Miley Cyrus released the most relaxing song ever.

'Malibu' may be a love song about Liam Hemsworth, but it's also a very cool song that we'll be listening too whilst dreaming about warmer weather.

Fans have said that the song shows that Miley has gone back to her roots and they couldn't be more correct!

Whilst being interviewed by Radio Disney, the singer explained that 'Malibu' has a very strong connection to a key moment in her past.

The interview took place in the same studio where Hannah Montana was filmed and Miley explained that the first time she was in the studio, she sang a song very similar to her new hit.

“The first time I was ever in this building, which I drove to from Nashville with my mum … I had to sign in at the desk right there and tell them, ‘I’m here for an audition,'

“I auditioned with a song that I had written (with a friend of my dad’s) called ‘We’re Going to the Beach.’

"And it was about being in Nashville and leaving to go to the beach.

"And that (the beach) being a paradise and a home… that’s the paradise to live.

"When you want to take a break you go to the beach and all your worries are gone."

Sound familiar?

Miley then explained that whilst promoting 'Malibu', she'd noticed the similarities between the songs too.

“Now promoting this new song 'Malibu,' that coming from Nashville I never would have imagined living in Malibu at this time in my life or by the ocean because I grew up on a farm.

"And now it’s just sort of ironic that these two songs are from the same person, just (almost) fifteen years later."

So not only is 'Malibu' about going full circle in a relationship, it's also about going full circle as an artist and musician.

How sweet is that?!
