When we heard that Ariana Grande got engaged this year to Pete Davidson, we were very surprised, but held nothing but love and hope for their relationship to stay strong, because she really deserved it.

But alas, they are no more and after some of Pete’s recent comments about their relationship, it seems like Ariana has no tears left to cry, because she’s just dropped a new song to move on through the pain.

The song, Thank U, Next, addresses all the stuff that has gone down in her life this year, with her lyrics addressing both Pete and the late Mac Miller:

“Now I listen and laugh / Even almost got married / And for Pete, I’m so thankful / Wish I could say, ‘Thank you’ to Malcolm / ‘Cause he was an angel.”

While the song isn’t a diss track like ‘Cry Me A River’ or ‘F**k It’, she has clarified that this is more of a song about moving forward, letting go of past negativity.

Over the weekend she revealed that the song has “no drags” and “no shade,” it’s just about “love, gratitude, acceptance, honesty, forgiveness … and growth.”

You can listen to the song HERE

UPDATE: It has been revealed that Ariana Grande showed the track to her exes, Big Sean and Ricky Alvarez, before it was released.

No word on whether Pete got to memo.
