The Oscars are coming up and if you still haven't seen any of the films nominated for Best Picture yet, then you need to lock yourself inside and binge them all right now!
One of the films tipped to win the Best Picture gong at the 90th Academy Awards on Monday (in Aus) is Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, a film about a woman who uses three billboards to try and get the local sheriff's attention (this is all I can say without spoiling the film).
Three Billboards has already won a stack of awards, but one Twitter user thinks that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen deserve some of the credit for the film's success.
Why? Because according to her, Three Billboards is a more dramatic version of their movie Billboard Dad, a film about twin sisters who use a billboard to alert all of the single women in their area that their father is single and ready to mingle.
Jill Gutowitz goes in depth to explain how the films are so similar in an extensive Twitter thread and guys, she's kind of right!
She even compared Frances McDormand's character to Mary-Kate and Ashley's characters!
Of course, this is definitely not true, however, we kind of want it to be!
Jill's right about one thing, though, we need to celebrate strong female film characters more often!
Excuse me whilst I go and watch both billboard films...
