WARNING: If you have not seen A Star Is Born there are massive spoilers in this article. You have been warned.
There was one scene stealing performance in A Star Is Born that really made the film. Of course we are talking about Charlie, the dog Ally (Lady Gaga) and Jackson (Bradley Cooper) adopt during the course of their relationship.
Charlie, who is Bradley’s real-life dog, is the fluffiest and most beautiful creature in the world. One of the brightest spots in the A Star Is Born is Jackson and Charlie playing outside together in the backyard.
Charlie has a critical role at the end of the movie, which reduced many movie-goers to tears. Jackson cooks a steak, places it on the floor for Charlie to eat, and then closes the front door. Jackson then sadly chooses to end his life in the garage in a devastating sequence.
We later see Charlie sitting outside the garage, waiting for his beloved owner in one of the film’s most heart-wrenching moments.
But there is one big question that remains from this emotional moment. How did the dog get outside, when Jackson had made sure the front door was closed?
Fans have taken to Twitter in droves to question this plot hole.
Was there another door somewhere? A dog flap? Did Charlie open the door? Can someone please let us know!?
Of course this doesn't take away from what an incredible movie A Star Is Born was, and just how upsetting the final sequence was.
