Listen, there were some very mixed reactions to the new Star Wars spin-off, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and a lot of them weren’t positive.
But I just. don’t. get. it.
Sure, it’s not the original Star Wars. It’s nothing like it. It’s not supposed to be.
But are we really that reminiscent for the past that we’re going to ruin something that’s actually pretty good?
My obsession with how great Alden Ehrenreich was as a young Han Solo aside (seriously, he’s an amazing actor - enjoy Solo for what it is!), Disney’s Lucasfilm subsidiary has now spoken to ABC News to touch on the rumours that they were putting their Star Wars Story spin-off films on hold.
The representative called Collider’s claim “inaccurate” and reassured fans that “multiple” as of yet unannounced Star Wars spin-off films are still in development and WILL happen.
So if you didn’t like Solo, they don’t care.
Thus far, these films in development are thought to be the trilogy from The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, and a series from Game of Thrones’ producers DB Weiss and David Benioff.
You can all look forward to the next Star Wars film, Star Wars: Episode IX, when it hits theatres in December 2019.
