Fifty Shades Of Grey took the world by storm when it was released in 2015.

Everybody loved the film adaption of the romance novel, well, everyone except the film's director.

Sam Taylor-Johnson directed the first Fifty Shades film and during an interview with The Sunday Times, she said she hated every minute of it.

"With the benefit of hindsight, would I go through Fifty Shades of Grey again?"

"Of course I wouldn't. I'd be mad."

E.L James, the author of the Fifty Shades books, was given a lot of creative control on the first film, which Sam explained, was why she hated it so damn much.

The pair clashed on set constantly and the director couldn't understand why the author kept dismissing her ideas.

"I like everyone - and I get really confused when they don’t like me.

"I was so confused by E.L James.

"I don't understand when I can't navigate a person, when there's no synergy.

"Her thing was, 'This is what the fans expect.'

"I'd be like, 'Well, let's try and hit those marks but create a new universe at the same time.'

"Every scene was fought over. It was tough.

"It was like wading uphill through sticky tar."

Fifty Shades Freed is currently due for release sometime next year, but Sam says she won't bother watching it because she has "literally zero interest".

Well, there you go!
