Now, the entire world felt cheated when, out of the blue, a new trailer for a Crocodile Dundee movie emerged starring Danny McBride as Dundee's American son, only to find out that it wasn't a movie, it was simply a tourism ad for Australia.
However, the worldwide interest in the ad sparked something in Hollywood because Crocodile Dundee is coming back... for real this time.
Variety has reported that Paul Hogan will be starring in a new film called The Very Excellent Mr Dundee, where Paul will be playing himself weeks before he's due to receive a knighthood for his services to comedy.
In the film, Paul's manager will inform his client to not "do anything to mess this up", however, things don't work out that way.
It sounds a bit... interesting, but clearly people want Crocodile Dundee back!
Let's see how this goes.
