For years Kim Cattrall played Samantha Jones, a strong independent woman who was comfortable with her body and didn't care what people thought of her (well, most people anyway).
The actress has said that she wasn't going to do another Sex And The City movie for years and you would have all seen the drama that caused between her co-stars over the last few weeks.
Now, Kim has said that if they want to go ahead and make a third Sex And The City movie then they should, but she won't be involved.
She's actually suggested that they re-cast the role of Samantha!
Whilst speaking to Piers Morgan on his show Piers Morgan's Life Stories, the actress said that the role should be filled by someone who could further diversify the cast.
"I want them to make the movie if that’s what they want to do.
"It’s a great part.
"I played it past the finish line and then some and I loved it and another actress should play it, maybe they could make it an African American Samantha Jones or a Hispanic Samantha Jones?"
Now, we're all about diversity, but would it really be worth re-casting Samantha just to make a third Sex And The City film?
American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, who has no real link to the Sex And the City franchise, told Entertainment Weekly that he agrees that re-casting Samantha would have saved the crew from a lot of heartache.
"Look, I would be very devastated if I created something cultural like that and 95 percent of the team said, ‘Let’s do it,’ but there was a hold on it.
"I don’t get it! Recast Samantha!"
A few fans have taken to Twitter saying that the decision would be blasphemous!
Do you agree with Kim, should they recast Samantha and make a third Sex And The City film?
Or should they just leave it alone?
