For 18 years, Dora The Explorer has been educating children across the globe and now, she's finally getting her very own live-action movie!
Paramount Pictures announced the new movie overnight and they've already cast their lead actress!
Isabela Moner will play Dora in the new film and you might be thinking, she looks a bit old to be playing Dora doesn't she?
Well, Paramount said in a press release that the new film will follow a teenage Dora as she goes on an adventure with her best friend Boots and her cousin Diego.
Paramount have not yet announced who will be playing Boots or Diego and whether or not Swiper will be involved in the adventure.
Isabela already has a bunch of film credits to her name including Transformers: The Last Night and the upcoming sequel to Sicario, Sicario: Day Of The Solado.
The actress said that like many children of her generation, she grew up watching Dora and is proud to be playing such a unique character.
"I’m honored and excited to bring Dora to life. I grew up watching the show, and for me, especially as a Latina, Dora was an amazing role model – she is a strong, adventurous and fun-loving girl. I can’t wait to put on the backpack and begin her next adventure!”
The live action Dora The Explorer film is due to hit cinemas in 2019.
