In a shocking series of events, a woman was kicked out of a public pool area for wearing a one-piece swimsuit.

The woman, Tori Jenkins, had tried to enter the pool that she and fiancé Tyler Newman had paid $300 a month to use, when she was turned away for wearing a hot pink one-piece swimsuit.

This is the swimsuit she was wearing that was deemed ‘inappropriate’.

After the incident, Tori’s partner took to social media to share his outrage at what happened, explaining that when she was asked to leave the pool, she was also met with an onslaught of offensive comments from the building’s manager.

"Tori was accused of wearing a 'thong bathing suit' and told there were complaints about the way she was dressed after roughly three minutes, tops, of us arriving there. We both kind of sat there in disbelief around five of our friends, some of which are residents and some not.

"Tori decided to go to the apartment office, which I regret not accompanying her on, and address the issue politely and calmly with the leasing consultant about the situation in a more private setting.

"In the office, the leasing consultant (who, for now, I will not name) insisted upon letting Tori take her picture to show 'how inappropriate' her bathing suit was, and instructed her to look into a mirror at her own body."

"She was told I wasn't allowed to spray tanning lotion on parts of her body that she can't reach because the consultant insisted that she could reach them herself.

"She was told that her body, because it's built more curvy than others is 'too inappropriate' for children to be around. She was told: 'There are a lot of teenage boys in this complex, and you don't need to excite them.'"

We can all see that this is hardly a ‘thong’ one-piece.

Tori has been left extremely embarrassed by the incident, having cried in a way her partner had never seen her cry before.

Support for Tori has since poured out across social media, with people standing to try and stop this behaviour.

Tori has since responded to the support, saying, "Thank you all, you really don't know how much it means to me.

"It hasn't even been that long since it happened but I can tell you that I've felt really shitty about myself since. Being distracted by friends and work and your wonderful comments have made this process a whole lot easier."
